My Story
So how did I get from sticking sequins on my dad’s face when I was about 6 years old to now running my own aesthetics business?
When I was young I often copied make up styles from tv and film… both glamorous and gory. As soon as I was old enough I took part in my first night class that explored hair and beauty.
After loving my first course I then went on to complete my beauty qualification at college along with other courses in the beauty industry.
I went on to become a make up artist for film and photography, loving everything from natural to special effects.
My career so far has led me to specialise and train in various treatments and branded products…
From special effects make-up, nails, nail extensions, waxing, facials, massage, spray tans, manicures, pedicures, eyelash extensions, hairdressing, face painting, dermabrasion, electrolysis, to now all things Aesthestics and injectables… some of the branded training includes St Tropez training, Air base air brush, Dermalogica, HD Brows, CryoPen.
I also worked in adult education at college as a beauty tutor for city and guilds level 1, 2 and 3 beauty diplomas preparing students for working in salons and spas.
My journey from decorating my dad’s face with sequins as a child to running an aesthetics business began with copying makeup styles from TV and film.
After attending my first night class in hair and beauty, I completed college qualifications and additional courses in the industry. I worked as a makeup artist for film and photography, specialising in both beauty and special effects.
I also trained in various treatments and branded products, including St Tropez, Air Base, Dermalogica, HD Brows, and CryoPen. My experience also includes roles such as nail technician, waxer, massage therapist, hairdresser, and tutor for City & Guilds beauty diplomas.
